Best Ways to Support Your Salons & Spas During the Busy Holiday Season

It’s the busiest time of the year and when your salon and spa customers need to capitalize on the demand. As their distributor or sales consultant, how can you best support them during this time of the year?

• Make sure your customers stock up on retail and back-of-house inventory for the rush. If they are not set up with salon ordering yet, this is a good time to do so.

• Remind all salons and spas to out in a larger order of their essentials and best sellers for the season.

• Follow up with any businesses that have not placed their regular orders yet to see how you can help expedite things for them.

• Be extra aware of urgent orders in December.

• Help them stay focused by keeping calls, emails, and visits short and to the point.

• Limit product or event pitches, so you don’t divert their attention during the height of their busy season.

• If stopping by, bring them coffee or tea as a pick-me-up.

• Holiday gifts are always thoughtful, but instead of donuts, cookies, or candy, bring fruit and other healthy snacks.

• Straighten up, even help stock up their retail shelves if they are too busy to manage it. Also, make sure they are set up with an online retail solution as products fly off the shelves during the holiday season.

• Make yourself useful by sweeping up cut hair, tidying up the breakroom, washing and putting dishes away, and even folding towels and smocks to help keep things running smoothly. And, if you’re in a state where you can wash hair without a license or you have an active cosmetology license, offer to help rinse out color and shampoo clients.
